April 14, 2021

Hey everyone! The summer season is quickly sneaking up on us and I just wanted to take some time to give some updates on my calendar and the craziness that will be this summer. So lets jump right into it.
First of all, yesterday the wife and I went and got our second dose of the covid vaccine. By the end of April I should be fully vaccinated. So for anyone who may have concerns, I do not have a third leg or arm growing and should be completely safe for you to spend some time with me in the boat.
Secondly, with this year being the year of the vaccine, me and a few guide friends of mine have noticed a few more calls coming in and the calendars filling a bit faster this year. I still have a bunch of days open, but with the season quickly approaching, don’t hesitate to reach out to get the days you want!
Lastly, the snow pack in the Star Valley area was a below average this year. Though this news doesn’t excite me because over all that means less water for the valley. It could potentially mean an earlier start. With less snow melt, the runoff period could be shorter. The last two years I didn’t touch the river until the 1st week of July, but in the past when we have seen below average snowpacks, we can usually start fishing in the last week of June. If you are planning your trip around then, we can tentatively get you on the books and just let time be the judge of if we go or not.
As always, if you have any questions or want to talk about a trip for the summer, feel free to reach out anytime. 307-264-0785 or byron@flyguidebyron.com
