Week 13 – Sorry, I Missed a Week

August 17th, 2020

This summer has been nothing short of amazing with all of the support and everyone coming to catch some fish with me. Im exhausted in a great way and didn’t set aside time last week to give you all an update. In the last two weeks I have been on the water everyday with my wife, with clients, and with some friends. It’s been amazing, and here’s a river update.

Rivers/Water Update
The Salt has been unpredictable but in a great way. We are catching a lot of fish and having good fishing usually until the hottest part of the day. The unpredictable part is where and when the big fish are going to hit. They aren’t sitting in their usual spots and they aren’t eating in their usual ways. The name of the game is to keep on trying and catching anything you can until you get a pleasant surprise. It’s been a lot of fun. Within the last couple of days the pressure on the river seems to have slowed but i’m sure it is just because a lot of kids are going back to school. Will probably be back to business as usual this weekend. The Snake continues to fish well but with the abnormally high temps the river has been getting warmer. Best to go early or late to not put too much strain on the fish. Bring the hoppers and terrestrials and you should have a good day.

Availability
I have been on quite the marathon! Lets keep it going, I have this Thursday 8/20 & Saturday 8/22 open. Give me a shout to get in on some of this action before the mornings start cooling off and it starts to feel like fall is truly coming. Next week is pretty open, just let me know what day and we will see what we can make happen.
