First of all, HAPPY FATHERS DAY to all the fathers that I’ve gotten to spend some time with in the boat! Second of all, guide season has started and the fish are hungry! Heres a few things going on in my neck of the woods.
Rivers/Water Update
All of my guide trips have been on the green, this time of year its the only clear water in the area. It is getting better everyday and fish are starting to look up. Today we had most of our success with a dry dropper rig. The flows are still going down and the water getting clearer. The Salt is starting to turn green and is on its way down as well. My hope is that it will be fishable by next weekend, and really start getting fantastic by the first week of July. The Snake is also turning green and coming down and should be on a similar path as the Salt.
Availability
I still have a decent amount of availability as I’m sure people are waiting to book as the rivers clear. But there are definitely some popular days and weeks. If there are certain days that you want, please don’t hesitate to reach out and see what’s going on!
Upcoming Week
Guided the Green today and had a good amount of fish both on the nymph and the dry. Im heading back to guide the Green again tomorrow and hopefully get into even more fish as the river is getting lower and clearer. This week is pretty open and traffic on the river isn’t bad at all, if you feel like finding some brown and rainbow trout and trying out a new river, now is the time! Just give me a call or text.
